What Makes It Awesome?

I visited Saara's Cafe at SS Lumina Hotel which is quite prominent in 20th Main, 7th Block Koramangala {Nr. Sapna Book Store}. The place was serving authentic Arabian and Indian cuisine in the buffet during lunch.

With beautiful international standard interiors in a subtle and soothing colour combination, comfortable seating, and calm lighting interiors, this place provides special attention to every little detail.

Lebanese Chef Abbass Youssef had brought the Arabian dishes and flavours of the Middle East to Bangalore with its subtle and mild herbs, the non-spicey variety of curries, and starters.

I tried Tamatar Bhuna Lasoon Da Soup {veg} which had rich flavours of herbs. For starters, my personal favourite was aloo muttar kaju tikki and tandoori pineapple though I liked the Jalandhari paneer tikka and chutneywali tandoori gobi as well as they were very well marinated. The aloo muttar kaju tikki was quite tasty.

In curries, I really liked paneer makhani, palak makkai lasooni, sabzi baghaara, maa ki dal, and sarson saag served with stuff kulcha, roti, and butter naan. All the curries tasted great with less oil, spices, and chillies used. My personal favourites were sabzi baghaara, maa ki daal with stuff kulcha which had garlic and sesame seeds.

Gajar ka halwa, Mullabia, rice pudding {kheer} in desserts were all served with a twist.

The staff here pays attention to cleanliness and has a professional approach right from the beginning. If you have been to the Middle East or have knowledge about the given cuisine, I am sure you would enjoy the food here else be open to experiment and build the taste.

What Could Be Better?

The food served here has authentic Middle Eastern flavours, quite different from the Indian spicier version. So if you are someone who enjoys spicy food, you might get a little disappointed. But the food tastes good, nonetheless.
