Christmas is the season of sharing and caring and the SAHAI Winter market is looking to just that! On Sunday, December 9, SAHAI, a suicide prevention and mental health awareness helpline and charity, will host a special, festive Winter Market on the grounds of Holy Ghost Church. Starting at 11am and ending at 4pm, the market will showcase local bakers, artists and the work of several NGOs. So, not just will you support a very important initiative like SAHAI but you can encourage other causes as well.
From Muthur Line, a women’s livelihood programme, you can pick up recyclable shopping bags, sling bags and table runners. While Milana, an organisation that supports those with HIV, will showcase hand stitched goods. You can pick up paintings from artists like Murali, who loves recreating India’s hustle bustle on canvas, and also superhero themed creations from visual designer, Krishnan Lakshmanan. For your table, there are pickles from the kitchen of Hermie Mathias. And for the kiddie’s wardrobe, you can browse through Meerkat’s collection. You can also chomp on fresh bakes and take home handmade soaps. jewellery and candles.
