Chandigarh-based Shades By Vidhi is a passion project by Vidhi Bansal, a mother that loved painting so much that one day she decided to sell wearable art. Every outfit is individually hand painted by Vidhi and the skill is unmatched, we must say. While the hand-painted trend is almost always delicate in its look, Shades By Vidhi doesn't shy away from being bold. The use of colours and size of the patterns is out there yet it retains elegance, sophistication and vibrancy. This is exactly what we were drawn to.
Vidhi mostly deals with florals but is happy to customise anything (pattern, colours, style, fabric). The choice of fabrics include organza, chiffon crepe, silks, and georgette. We love the georgette suits with organza dupatta and the silk scarves. They also have lehengas and gorgeous sarees. It's tough for us to pick favourites, head to their handle and you'll know why!
Each piece takes at least 25 days to come to life (given this is a one-woman-show), so you may want to place your orders keeping this in mind. Also note that the suits are sold unstitched. You can request for a stitched suit in case of urgency.
