Missing Amma’s home-made food? A spoonful of Smitha’s pickle is reminiscent of your mother’s warm hug!

What Makes It Awesome

Smitha’s Home-Made Food is a partnership of a mother and her son, bringing you authentic Malayalee fare. Vishal started their pickle line in order to tap potential behind his mum’s cooking. While their meat-based pickles use ingredients like fish and beef (need we say more?!), the vegetarian pickles are mainly made of lime, carrot and garlic.

Using traditional methods of drying the meats and vegetables along with combining the likes of coconut and gingelly oil, it's no wonder that the pickles taste so authentic! After trying them, it’s safe to say that this brand shares a common element with that of all home-made pickles, some good old mother's love. While the vegetarian pickles are sold at INR 200 a jar, the meat based-pickles are selling at INR 350 each bottle.

If you’re Mallu and missing Appam and stew, the mother-son duo also cater to your Sadhya needs and do it on an order only basis. Since they’re a home kitchen, they deliver within city limits. So get your homesick friends together for some heavy eating and call Vishal to place an order.

Pro-Tip

They also do pop-ups in the city from time to time so make sure to follow their social media to know when and where!
