What Could Be Better

We had planned to go to yauatcha at 1MG Lido Mall to cater to my husband's sushi craving! We did not have a reservation & craving was so intense that he could not also wait for 30 minutes to get a table. We looked around & there was this "tao terraces" at the other end, which also had SUSHI's. Yipieee!

They have a rooftop lounge for which you need to pay a cover charge and a fine dining section which smells of fish sauce & a bit more like a road side noodle kiosk. But sushi craving was at its prime, so we decided to save some bucks & spend on food in their restaurant. It was also raining which was also the reason why we chose indoor fine dining because their terrace lounge got a bit messy in that lovely Bangalorean weather.

On non-rainy days, one can choose to get a table in their terrace lounge which is nicely done with dim lights, soothing music, and many figurines of buddha meditating while u eat. Interesting?

So let's talk about the reason why we went to Tao. We ordered - 6 salmon maki rolls, 4 waterchestnut & lotus stem dimsums, and udon noddles in black pepper. Sushi's were overly loaded with rice which was also not entirely a good quality sticky rice. I don't know which wasabi they use, but it was spicier & more pungent than normal. Ginger slices were also Indian, and not those soft & juicy thai ones. Dimsums & noodles were average, which you can also cook at home after watching a Youtube video. And you might do a better job than Tao's chef.

Overall, you can try it as it will not make a big hole in your pocket. But it is also a place that you can consider giving a skip.
