Throw Caution To The Wind And Attend The City’s Biggest Kite-Flying Festival!

It’s that time of the year again! The Bengaluru Kite Festival is back and it’s bigger and better than ever before. This time, the event will feature a massive inflatable trail (India’s largest, they claim!) where there will be tons of obstacles and games for both adults and kids to enjoy. With pop-up food stalls, live music performances, fun-filled activities and of course, kite flying, you will be attending a full-blown mela. If it’s your first time flying a kite, don’t worry. They’ll arrange for someone to give you a demo and teach you how to do it, so you don’t have to be awkward (like me) and say that you just enjoy setting kites free. For pro kite flyers, there’s going to be a kite-flying competition, so you can see how you fare against Bengaluru’s best and win a large cash prize. The proceeds from the event will be used by the Rotary club for their social projects, so fly high for a cause.

The BBMP ground is a large, open space. There aren’t too many buildings around, so it’s perfect to see the vibrant display of colours in the sky!

With such a huge crowd, parking is going to be a problem. So make sure to go early, or use public transport.
