What Is It?
An international drag race meeting in town, Vroom 2016 has been on the cards for a decade. With promise of excitement from the word go all the way to the chequered flag at the end of the two-day meet, it’s excitement and adrenalin all around, with all eyes on the quarter-mile drag strip. We’re not just talking XUVs, Esteems or the like. This one takes it up several gears to Lamborghinis, Ferraris, Aston Martins, Nissan, Porches and Maseratis from across the country.
And it’s not just cars. Those beautiful super bikes are going to be racing in their glorious manifestations too. Who doesn’t want to hear the revving of a Kawasaki BMW, Yamaha and Honda? No one, obviously. Especially when they have had some serious tech and spec upgrades. Oh! And in case you’re wondering, it’s all legal and approved by the Youth Empowerment and Sports Government of Karnataka. Motorsport fans, you’ve got Geneva Motors to thank for this.

This event is specifically for those who love the smell of burning rubber and fuel, and the kick of adrenalin driving or riding at well over 100kmph gives you. Even if you’re interested in watching, head here this weekend and so some fast lane love. Drag racers and motorsport enthusiasts, you cannot miss this. No, siree.
Why Should I Go for It?
Apart from the fact that there’s going to be Ferraris and Aston Martins to super bike and off-roaders to marvel at, the sheer edge-of-the-seat and close finishes will make it worth it. It’s all about the speed, chrome and mechanical engineering.
