Ten-Second Takeaway

Living on a budget? Fear not! We feel the pain. But when you’re running low on funds, it doesn’t mean to need to hold back on eating. Nope. Never. So if you’re in the CBD area which usually drains the pockets, hit up these places on St Marks Road and eat to your heart and tummy’s content for INR 150.

Noon Wines

Need a wallet-friendly place to go out and have a good time? Noon Wines has been around for as long as we can remember. What’s special about this place is their homemade wine, which is only served in shots. And it’s only INR 60 per shot! So much win. And if that isn’t your cup of wine, then pick the beer and the bar nibbles.

Truffles

Here is one place that you’ve probably already heard of. But such is the reputation of Truffles. It did so well on St Marks Road that they actually had to open up another shop on the same street which did is equally as good and crowded as the original one. Although you may have to wait for a table for a while, the food definitely makes up for it. Crazy about chocolate? Their death by chocolate cake it just INR 110, if chocolate isn’t your thing worry not they sell amazing lemon tart for just INR 45. Truffles also fulfils all your cheesy fantasies with their Cheesy Mex Fries and Cheese Rissoles for INR 140.

Tibbs Frankie

If you’re on the go and need to grab a quick bite Tibbs Frankie is just that and more. Their quick and pocket-friendly rolls are located in a small shop in St Marks Road. It may be tiny but it’s hard to miss. Their sinful chicken tikka rolls and mutton rolls are worth every rupee. Their rolls start from prices as low as INR 40. We personally love the Tawa Chicken Frankie and the Schzewan Chicken Frankie which just costs INR 60.

Natural Ice Cream

Natural Ice Cream whips up natural and fruity flavours of ice cream. Their watermelon and papaya-pineapple  ice cream is to die for. Plus, tender coconut is an all time favourite too. If you’re one to eat ice cream straight from the tub, Naturals sells these frozen treats in a tub as well as in a cone. Each cup costs INR 60.

Kebab Korner

Kabab Corner serves good Mughlai food. This little shop on St Marks Road has been serving Mughlai food since forever while the quality of the food is as consistent as ever. Hard to miss as this hole in the wall eatery almost always has a crowd of people. Sure it’s a bit expensive, but if you eat smart, here’s what you can load up on at this iconic place. If you come between noon and 3 pm, you can indulge in their special lunch menu under INR 150. Dig into some mutton/chicken biryani or devour some chicken kababs for just INR 130. If meat isn’t your thing then worry not. They also serve some killer Channa Bhatura for INR 130.
