What Makes It Awesome

The Idli Factory, a small takeaway joint in Mylapore, serves a variety of namma humble idlis. Although the brand has been serving idlis for a few years now, they’ve finally opened a central kitchen, for you to pick up your idlis on the go. What do they serve? Fancy sounding idli bars but with our hearty home-style podi mixes like Jeera Pepper, Curry Leaf, and Garlic to name a few.

You can also get mini idlis (if you’re all about the base and like cute and round) in flavours like garlic podi, milagai (chilli) podi and Neichakra (ghee and sugar). If you want the idli squares, you get bars of six in convenient packaging making it an easy go-to snack when you’re on the move. The idlis here are priced anywhere between INR 45 and 120, and if you need to wash it all down, get a cool glass of buttermilk or paanagam (made with jaggery and hints of ginger and lime)– perfect for summer no?
