Bhaavya Bhatnagar
It's no secret we're obsessed, and the proximity of her studio to our HQs doesn't make staying away too easy. With classic, elegant and understated silhouettes, figure flattering forms {ladies, hips}, and designs that'll never get old, she had to make this list. She does both Indian and Western wear, and does it all to perfection. Find out more, here.

Baby Jalebi
Far from ruffles, one too many bows, and enough net to cover a lake, Baby Jalebi nails children's clothing and accessories. They do everything from linen, carpets, curtains, cribs, accessories, bedding, and Indian and western clothes. A special mention to their line of Indian clothing, we can't get enough of the mini floral lehenga and Nehru jackets.

Safomasi
Perfect prints, Indian and international inspired motifs, stunning bed spreads, home accents and soft furnishings, Safomasi made our bed one of the hottest spots in 2014. Even though we were the only ones in it. Every single product is hand made, unique, and tells the designer's story.

Nimai
A multi-designer concept store, Nimai is god sent for an accessory addict. Bringing together some of the best jewellery brands {Suhani Pittie, Bangdar Sarali, Fool Jhadi and Prerto}, even if not for the jewels, the store is a piece of art.

Finely tailored menswear is an art, and Kardo clearly took their art lessons seriously. Kardo blends traditional with modern, to present hand-crafted and perfectly tailored clothing. Each item comes complete with a lable mentioning who cut, stitched and finished your shirt. Find out more, here.

The Shop
More than a label, The Shop is well, one guess. Excellently stocked with women's apparel, kitchenware, linen, bags and bedding, they've been covered by every major publication, so we know we aren't the only ones loving their produce and quality. As for aesthetic, it's rooted in more traditional prints and styles, with a contemporary edge.

Suket Dhir
Easily in our top 5 brands we discovered this year. Understated, elegant and traditional without being archaic kurtas with matching salwars, linen shirts, Nehru jackets, all made of natural fabric and sustainable materials. If you're a Gentleman doing store rounds, Suket Dhir should be your final destination.

Rara Avis
If you like your leather as a fashion fabric, you'll feel very good in designer Sonal Verma's studio. Timeless leather bombers, black and tan weave sweatshirts, leather wrap around blazers, and leather crafted accessories, let's just say it's a good thing leather probably won't ever go out of style.

House of Wandering Silk
If you get to shop and support a cause, it's two birds and one silk scarf. House of Wandering Silk supports communities, especially women, by encouraging financial empowerment, as well as pride in craft. They use recycled and up cycled silk to produce scarves, jewellery and other accessories.
