Diet Hacks: How to Make Every Day a Cheat Day

The information in this post might be outdated

There’s a good chance you’ve considered going on a diet to shed those extra few kilos you put on in the last few months of winters and festivities. While we are strong advocates of eating healthy {as unlikely as that may seem}, we’re trying an approach that takes a bit of a detour from clean eating.

Enter cheat meals.

What’s the plan?

If you love food like we do, terms like ‘healthy meals’ and ‘clean eating’ may put you off your diet before you even get started. Terms like ‘cheat meals’, on the other hand, get us a lot more excited, which is why we believe it’s a good idea to start a challenge with something that makes us want to actually stick to it. It’s a genius approach, we know.

Oils well that ends well

One of the first things we start skimping on, on our journey to weight loss, is oil {surprise, surprise}. But if you’re smart about the oil you pick, you’d actually be doing yourself a favour by consuming it.

And one of those healthy oils happens to be Hudson Canola Oil. Extracted from the seeds of the yellow Canola flower, this oil is pretty much perfect to be used in any kind of cuisine—Indian, Chinese, Italian, Thai, or anything else you fancy.

And since we’re talking of the healthy aspects of oil, it’s got the lowest content of harmful saturated fats amongst all oils, a high content of monounsaturated fats {or “good” fats}, a high amount of Omega-3 {to get that super-smooth skin} and Vitamin E. All these benefits go a long way in helping you fight lifestyle diseases like high cholesterol, heart disorders, diabetes, obesity, high blood pressure and so much more. Phew!

Bake your cake, and eat it too

If you’re anything like us, you’d be turning on your heels at the mere mention of a diet, which is why we’re going to talk about yummy food instead. We’re giving you four super delicious meals you can prepare using Hudson Canola Oil. And the best part—this is the sort of food we couldn’t dream of consuming on a diet, but a few tweaks here and there, and you’re sorted. You may thank us later.
