The chill

A cafe inside an art studio, Chill and Chai is simply done up in white; the space is played off with uber-colourful chairs and tables bearing floral designs. There's lots of greenery, creating an ambience of peace and calm. If you want to enjoy the weather or grab a smoke, the balcony's your hub. They host frequent exhibitions; art buffs can take a leisurely stroll down the stairs to check out the latest on show.

And the chai {and coffee and coolers}

As soon as you enter, you'll encounter the pretty little glass boxes at the counter. These hold a selection of teas. You can take off the lids, take in the aroma and decide on a brew of your choice. We give a thumbs up to the apple cinnamon green tea. If you're more of a coffee drinker, they have a mean espresso machine whipping up a strong cuppa. There are also a bunch of coolers including the Pink Lime Cooler and Thai Iced Tea. Our fave beverage however was definitely the hot chocolate; the perfect amount of sweet and chocolate, this would make for the ideal cup of comfort on a rainy day.

The food

The food menu is pretty basic comprising quick bites such as sandwiches, pizza, pasta, lasagna and burgers. They also serve Gelato Roma ice cream {vanilla and chocolate chip} and a strange yet delightful dessert called choco coco balls, reminiscent of coconut laddoos.

And more

There's free Wi-Fi {yay!} and a bunch of merch on the shelves. Indulge in interesting chutneys {such as Spicy Apple}, French preserves {we spotted a mango vanilla and orange apricot} and interesting pickles {chili, ginger pork etc}. These come from selected NGOs {such as Mesh} across the city and are all priced under INR 250.
