What Makes It Awesome

Situated 8,500 ft above sea level, amidst the mighty Himalayas, and surrounded by deodar and pine trees on all sides is a small little village called Shoja. And in that village stands Firgun - probably, one of the best workcation properties we've come across in recent times (you can just travel and chill there too, no one's gonna force you to work).

Firgun means "the simple unselfish joy that something good has happened to someone else" and this heartwarming feel is found in abundance here, even among oodles of snow it gets during winters. The warmly lit rooms and the wooden interiors will make for a cozy stay, while the cloudy outdoor areas and the starry night sky will give you that all-important feeling of heaven.

The property currently has four types of rooms to choose from- a 2-bed mixed dorm, a luxury private room, a luxury cottage room, and a luxury family room. The tariff starts at INR 1,000 per night for a weekly stay and the per-night prices keep on decreasing for fortnightly and monthly stays. So the longer you stay, the better it is for your pocket and for your soul. We haven't told you the best bit though. The tariff includes breakfast and dinner, as well. We are sold! The in-house kitchen can also prepare food for you on an a-la-carte basis.

There's Wi-Fi at the property (at a nominal cost) and the folks at Firgun recommend getting a Jio sim for seamless connectivity. And don't you worry, the common areas are being sanitised regularly and a minimum gap of 24 hours is being given in between every booking.

To book your stay at Firgun and for more questions, you can Whatsapp or call them up at +91 9804990722 and +91 8360022163. You can also DM them on Instagram (@livefirgun) to make your bookings.

Pro-Tip

Though travelling to Himachal Pradesh doesn't require a COVID negative certificate or an e-pass now, the property does require you to carry a COVID negative certificate and we think it's a good move for it ensures a safe travel experience for you, your fellow travellers, and the local community. Also, the minimum length of stay required at Firgun is five nights, and considering how affordable and beautiful it is, we don't think that should be a concern.

Note: Please wear a mask at all times when heading out, follow social distancing guidelines, and take the utmost safety precautions to keep yourself and those around you safe.
