What Makes It Awesome

QDs is one of the most popular multi-cuisine restaurants, and have numerous outlets. How we came across QDs is from a food show which claimed that QDs were amongst the first cafes to have tandoori momos on their menu. It was on my list from the longest time.

We went to the Satya Niketan outlet of QDs and were quite disappointed, it was a small space, crowded with people, music was loud and the noisy crowd made our experience even worse. They do not even have a washroom and the service was delayed.

Coming to the food, well it was quite an average level. We ordered a drink, a pizza and a meal bowl our bill already shot up 800INR which is not quite pocket-friendly. Well at first we thought that the taste and the quality must at least be worth the price for it to be broadcast on the national television. But sadly they have degraded their quality massively. And very sadly we couldn’t even order tandoori momos since they serve only 5 pieces and charge 200INR which is just too much even for the best possible flavours in their momos. Usually wherever you go these days, they at least serve you 8 to 10 pieces of momos. We have suggested great places for tandoori momos in our previous blogs as well which serve delicious tandoori momos as well as satisfy their customers by serving 8 to 10 pieces at least and also charge decently like not more than 120 to 150INR.

Coming to the food and drinks, we ordered ‘Beach bum’ priced 159INR which is reasonable for a drink and almost all the cafes these days serve drinks at such prices, but what was not okay was the flavour, which was supposed to be a mix of tropical fruits like peach, cranberry and orange. The combination itself sounds refreshing, only if the drink was as refreshing as it sounds. All that we received was a glass of high on sugar, orange drink, which wasn’t refreshing at all but rather made us regret our choice.

Next up we tried the butter chicken pizza, I mean one cannot go wrong with butter chicken pizza right, both butter chicken, as well as pizza, are absolutely delicious in itself and the combination can just possibly double up the deliciousness of the dish, however, here at QDs they managed to let us down there as well. The pizzas hardly had any bit of chicken, literally if we count there must be a total of five bits of chicken here and there, the pizza tasted average and felt like a pure waste of 269 INR.

The only thing which felt worth ordering was a Chinese combo of chilli chicken and veg noodles priced 219 INR. Quantity and quality both wise it felt worth it and the only reason why we wouldn’t rate QDs 1 star.
However, they served only 3 pieces of tiny chicken in the gravy.
All in all, we are highly disappointed of this outlet of QDs.

What Could Be Better

We were highly disappointed with the portion size to price ratio.
