What Makes It Awesome?

There is quite a trend nowadays to have art exhibited for sale in cafes and restaurants. But to find a spot with Ceramics displayed is quite a treat for me.

I was pleasantly surprised by my recent visit to one of my favourite places for healthy Indian food with a modern twist - Fabcafe. This is at the Vasant Kunj branch only - A wall filled with beautiful handmade ceramic vases.

A neon write- up on one side had details about each piece written by the artist themselves. I was impressed by the works and decided to call the number listed to inquire about buying one of the artworks. I was happy to speak to Divyam, the curator about the concept behind the display.

The exhibition changes every three months and focuses on only handmade affordable ceramic artwork by artists based in Delhi NCR. This is a part of a large project called RACU (Restaurants and Ceramics Universal). The vision being, promotion of ceramics in cafes and restaurants. One can read all about their other projects online. In the meanwhile do devour these beautiful art pieces while you eat your scrumptious meal at this lovely cafe. It's vases right now and mugs will be added after March.

Prices were Rs2500 upwards for large/tall vases (FYI). Glad to see this combination of good food and a good art exhibition. I was happy to buy myself one of the vases.
