What is it?
WIP Closing Day, which marks the end of WIP- The Street Art Show, a month-long exhibition of around 100 painted shipping containers. Hosted in the largest dry port in Asia, it features work by over 20 artists from all over the world.
Who is it for?
Art enthusiasts, street art fans, followers of world art and anyone who’s looking to spend their weekend doing something exciting.
Why should I go for it?
You can expect a ton of hip-hop performances in keeping with the street vibe. We’re digging the fact that they’re utilising the exhibition area to carry out break dancing, poppin’, beat boxing and more; essentially bringing different forms of art together.
Who’s going to be there?
The event will be emceed by MCEucalips and Taru, while the Dance Mafia Crew, Tribes Collision Squad and Culture Fanatikz Crew will come together for the Breaking & Poppin’ Jam. There’s also a host of beats being bought by Runin {Agnastik – Hip Hop Collective} and Taru. All the performances are up in front of judges, so there’ll be a fun competitive element as well!
#LBBTip:
Don’t forget to refuel with a quick bite- the food is from Hauz Khas Social- and wash it down with cold pressed juices by Antidote and if you need a drink that’s more traditional, go with Jugmug Thela’s delicious tea or coffee.
