What Makes It Awesome

Each year, as Delhi approaches Diwali, it's next- door neighbour Noida turns into a vibrant and magical land. Shilpotsav is an annual celebration of tradition and culture where art speaks louder than words held in the famous Noida Stadium.

Organised by the Ministry of UP, the festival gives us visitors, a gazillion shopping options. Most of the stuff you find here is handmade and moderately prized {though easily available in regular Delhi Markets, getting them all under one huge roof is a major plus}.

Must stock up on some really unique home decor items, crockery, and traditional dress material to help you prep you {and your home} the festive season ahead. If you're lucky {or a pro bragainer} you can even score some gorgeous carpets and wooden furniture for your nook, at great discounts. They also offer to help with delivering the furniture to your doorstep.

On the edible front, the festival hosts many food stalls, serving specialties from all across the country making it borderline overwhelming, in a great way! The jalebi {which is the size of my palm} and rabdi keeps me coming year after year and is the family's pet!

What Could Be Better?

While most of the sellers are sweet and open to a little chit-chat, bargaining at this flea market is no child's play. It also does get a little cramped over the weekend, so time your visit accordingly.

What's My Pro Tip?

Don't forget to carry loose change in abundance and don your most comfortable sneaks, for you've have a lot of walking to do.

Anything Else?

The nearest metro station to the venue is Noida City Center which is also a great way to salvage yourself from the parking situation.
