We were taken in by a display of gorgeous multi-coloured leather products on their website; from laptop and iPad cases, to traveller’s currency cases {with a very handy pocket for SIM cards}, SLR cases and compact clutches; what caught our eye instantly was the range.
Some had classic two-tone leather with a pattern to break the monotony of monochrome, while others had delightful bead embellishments, or embroidered roses on lush brown leather. Made using Italian leather, currently, their range includes SLR cases, laptop sleeves, iPad cases, compact clutches and currency cases.
History of the Heroes
Run by partners Karishma and Ashwin {who are armed with a penchant for travel and an understanding of aesthetics}, 1701 is now doing bulk orders and wedding favours, after months of trial and error, and constant work and engagement with the karigars. They are also not adding any new designs to their range, but their current work is up on the website for browsing.
