What is it?
Asmita Winter Theater Festival 2016 presents a play based on Ismat Chugtai's stories, directed by Arvind Gaur and assisted by Shilpi Marwah.
The play brings together stories written by Ismat Chugtai, and aims to portray characters on stage that are as real and as they are fictional. Ismat herself was fiercely outspoken, so it will be interesting to see this theatrical adaptation.
Who is it for?
Anyone who has an active interest in theatre and fiction can go enjoy the show. All those who wish to experience a live adaptation of Begumati Zubaan, and those who have no clue who Ismat is, should definitely come and get to know her.
Why should I go for it?
Asmita and Ismat are coming together for this show. What more does one need? Theatrical renditions allow a different perspective to the story and we are excited to see what unfolds on stage.
