280716_ghostbusters2This week, we have a 2016 remake of what many movie buffs would call one of the greatest comedy movie ever made; Ghostbusters. Not convinced yet? Here are 5 reasons that're sure to fix that.

Same Wine, New Bottle

Taking a concept that has stayed with the hearts of comedy fans for years, this movie introduces it in a whole new way. The new team is impressive and funny as hell {to say the least}, the CGI is phenomenal, and the scale much bigger than before. Plus, the ladies get to see a lot of Chris Hemsworth, which is always a plus.

Feminism FTW!

With four of the funniest women in the industry ghost-busting in a story penned down by a woman, this movie goes a long way in reasserting girl power. Melissa McCarthy, Kristen Wiig, Kate McKinnon and Leslie Jones make a great team on screen, and, well, nothing is cooler than watching some women bust some supernatural ass.

Insanely Trippy Visuals

When exploring the paranormal as a theme, there is so much you can do with it. Ghostbusters already had pretty interesting visuals in the original, though this one makes the most of the 2016 CGI to deliver some crazy visuals; it's the biggest reason you don't want to miss catching this one on the big screen {and yes, it's available in 3D, too!}.

Cameo Treat

The movie has a lot of nods to the original, and cameos are a big part of it. While some might not get it, ones who have watched the original will have a ball watching old faces pop up every now and then. For one, we loved Bill Murray's cameo *nostalgia ensues*.

And…Chris Hemsworth

Chris Hemsworth as the dim-witted-yet-oh-so-handsome receptionist Kevin Beckman is reason enough to convince your bae to come watch this with you {and for once, she would NOT refuse}. And for men, don't you worry, there is a lot of hilarious Kate McKinnon, too.

If this still isn't enough, there's so much more that makes this movie worth a watch. Go ahead and book your tickets to find it out for yourself  this Friday {if you haven't already}. Excuse us, we've got some Ghostbustin' to do!
