Edgy, eccentric, and always a vibe. Masaba has been brewing up a storm with her OG apparel label House of Masaba, but lately she's expanded into beauty and wellness by dropping her own line of products, cleverly naming it LoveChild. Currently, there’s liquid and bullet lipsticks, nail enamel, and a face mist in the beauty section, while you'll find intimate wipes and anti-anxiety oils from the wellness section. Read more about the brand here

Naturally, we kept to our word and placed our orders. We've tried and tested the products over a span of 30 odd days and here's what we think!

The brand has launched 12 beautiful creamy matte shades in their bullet lipstick range — most shades are browns, mauves, and reds, which best suit the Indian skin tone. They’ve realistically indicated how each shade would look on different skin tones, making the shopping a lot easier. The formula is silky smooth, lightweight, and very comfortable to wear. The colour payoff is commendable, one swipe and you’re done, and it smells extremely nostalgic, reminds me of my mom’s lipsticks when I was a child. However, it’s not long-lasting, so you have to keep refreshing it every now and then or if you’re like me and eat a lot, after every meal.

Shade Tested: Hey Sugar

Pros: The pigment is great! It looks as good on the lips as it does in pictures!

Cons: It doesn't last very long.

They came out with a total of 12 liquid matte lipstick shades all in the colour palette of nude, mauve, and red. While the packaging is sturdy, quirky, and simply fun to look at, the lipstick itself is something I will not part with anytime soon. When it comes to nude lipsticks there's a fine line between a perfect match and a match so perfect you can't see your lips! A tad skeptical and convinced that this one would wash me out, or I'll have to mix and match, this blew me away. The formula is super lightweight, non-sticky and non-drying. What I love most is that it does not feel like a "mad-matte" at all and does not continue drying out over time. It easily stays on for a good 3 hours, however you will need to touch up if you have a meal. It also has macadamia oil which is hydrating and does not suck the life out of your lips like several other liquid lipsticks. For me, the formula and the Indian skin tone suited colours get a 10/10.

Shade Tested: Clear The Lane

Pros: Colour options for Indian skin tones is on-point!

Cons: You might need to touch up more than you like.

Honestly, I had low expectations from the nail paint because every nail polish on the market feels the same, but I'm glad I decided to test it for myself. It does what it claims; super long-lasting and actually resistant to chipping. To give a little background, most nail colours stay on my nails for a full one day before they start to wither away, sometimes only a few hours, but this one didn't chip for five days, that's huge. The collection houses over 20 colours, on the side of pastels and neutrals that would suit most indian skintones. I'm not a fan of the applicator, though; it was streaky and difficult to get a smooth coat, but I'm convinced to buy more shades because of the formula.

Shade Tested: Khubsurat

Pros: Colour options!

Cons: The applicator is streaky and leaves bumpy swipes.
