The SDMC has just prohibited restaurants {or any kind of food join}t from displaying meat items outside their establishment. The succulent kebabs and meat-laden barbecues outside your favourite dhhaba will now have to hide.
The reason given for this move is that the raw and cooked meat can get contaminated out in the open, and that it also hurts the sentiments of the vegetarian public.
So, your winter walks in markets and areas like Green Park, Hauz Khas, Amar Colony, Safdarjung {basically all of South Delhi} won’t be accompanied with spotting barbecue stands with your favourite juicy seekh or tikkas on it.
The prohibition is going to come to effect slowly and gradually to all areas in South Delhi.
