What do you do with a decade of learning and experimenting with food? You hone your skills to the T and open a kitchen to take those delicacies to the hungry people of G Town and that’s exactly what Gaurav Dhody has done!

Taste Of Home

The menu at Gaurav’s Kitchen is essentially Mughlai with a lot of dishes that have Mughlai undertones but are developed entirely by Gaurav himself, take the Chicken Noorani for instance. Juicy and flavourful chicken mince meatballs cooked in a milk based gravy with aromatic spices makes a rather ‘royal’ dish and it’s like no other because this is a Gaurav’s Kitchen original. For more familiar dishes, we suggest you don’t miss his Special Dal Makhni, because this is one dish everyone has a signature way of doing, at this kitchen it’s super rich and creamy. The menu is mostly main courses, so plan a meal accordingly, try the palak gosht now that it’s almost season for greens and the keema anda curry which is made in a fenugreek flavoured curry. It would be great to have more options in breads given the curry based menu but you do have kulchas and Malabari parathas to choose from!

Drool-Worthy Desserts

Here is where things become more home kitchen style! Gaurav’s Kitchen has two signature desserts that are the chef’s own creations and both induce tremendous nostalgia. One is a caramel custard pudding with a nice texture of nuts to take the edge of the creaminess and a Marie Biscuit Delight which is exactly what it sounds like, a pudding made of Marie biscuits, cream and chocolate sauce.

So, We're Saying...

If you crave a meal like this anytime between 7pm and 4am, then hit up Gaurav’s Kitchen on Zomato or Swiggy and eat a gourmet meal from a home kitchen!
