What Makes It Awesome?

Delhi just got its biggest mural ever and it’s a massive 150 ft. by 40 ft! Painted in South Delhi, on the boundary of East Kidwai Nagar redevelopment site, the mural is to improve public consciousness about the ill-treatment of cattle in the dairy industry. Their campaign is known as #DontGetMilked and is aimed at showcasing the reality of dairy, the truth of how animals are bred as mere commodities without any value for their sentence.

The task was undertaken by FIAPO - the Federation of Indian Animal Protection Organisation and the painting was done by Rockstartists, an organization that works on art projects in public as well as commercial spaces.

The behemoth task was finished under 10-days by the Rockstartists team which is made up of Raman Chauhan {25 years} who is a contemporary artist from College of Art {he’s also an engineer} and Akshita Sharma {21 years} who is also a contemporary artist from Jamia Millia Islamia University, They’re the co-founders and avid animal lovers.

FIAPO handed over the task to these guys since they’ve mastered the art {pun intended}. They’ve received awards from Times of India, Ministry of Railway, and the Prime Minister, Narendra Modi.

Anything Else?

So, the next time you’re driving by the area, get a good look at this huge mural – it looks absolutely stunning!
