Art curator, Nandita Jain will be launching her new sculpture studio called Merraki at the Art Gallery in 1AQ.
Merraki means ‘putting a part of yourself in what you create’, and hence, the studio showcases a very fun, and colorful collection of sculptures. Following everyday themes in form, the Merraki sculptures go pop in the Andy Warhol kind of palette and are cordon bleu experimental in an art nouveau style. A bronze chimpanzee, a giant hibiscus flower, a neon-coloured melting ice cream, and red bulldogs are some of Nandita's notable sculptures that you have to check out.
