Navratri season is here, and with it comes a whole list of restrictions which include meat, alcohol and more. But does it really curb your food outings? We say no.

A whole bunch of places around town are offering sumptuous and fulfilling meals that not only sit well withixn your Navratri diets, but also are just the right kind of delicious that your tummy desires. Here is a list of places you should definitely check out to make the most out of these nine days. Happy eating!

Fio Country Kitchen & Bar

Prepared without onion or garlic, Fio brings you two special platters that are just perfect for breaking your fast. The platters include apple, banana, kiwi, makhana, peanut salad, Petha Ki Sabzi, Sago Risotto, Rosetti Chestnut and more {which are all delicious and nutritious at the same time}.

Punjab Grill

With offerings like Banana Walnut Lassi, Suran Aloo Ki Tikki, Khatta Meetha Kaddu, Rajgira Ki Poori and low fat sabudana kheer, Punjab Grill is all set to give you a delicious end to your daily fast. The meals also include fresh seasonal fruits and select platters, and the best part is that they’re going completely veg for these nine days.

Indian Grill Room

From starters like Sabudana Ki Tikki and Cucumber Salad to main course options like Jeera Aloo, Sitafal Ki Sabjee, Paneer Ki Sabjee, Arbi Masala and more, Indian Grill Room is doing wholesome Navratri meals. For those with a sweet tooth, the Sabudana ki Kheer is a great option too.

Haveli Dharampura

Lakhori at Haveli Dharampura has whipped up a special Navratri menu to satiate all those post fast cravings {and it is definitely worth a try}. The menu includes dishes prepared specially for the nine auspicious days, and is set to satiate your tastebuds without any guilt.


Who says Navratri meals should only be limited to Indian options? Gastronomic is offering a range of options that are borrowed from Asian & European cuisines. Options on the menu include Sumac Rice Risotto with Artichoke Asparagus and Parmesan Crisp, Buckwheat Flour Tacos filled with Grilled Raw Banana and Fresh Fruit Salsa, Sweet Potato Gnocchi with Blue Cheese Sauce, and Honey Roasted Pumpkin Water Chestnuts Tortellini with Caramelised Walnuts.

And if you prefer something sweet, they have the Sago and Coconut Pudding, too; only one of the many things here.

Known for its holistic vegetarian meals, Sattvik will be serving a special Navratri thali all throughout the nine days to help you with your fasts. You can expect great and fulfilling options on the menu otherwise too, and we’d definitely recommend trying out their thali.


If you crave Japanese and don’t wanna miss out on some great food while fasting, Guppy has you sorted. Serving Braised Shiitake Uramaki, Cheese and Vegetable Krokke, Lotus Root and Tofu Hasamiage Tempura, Grilled Portobello Steak and Okonomiyaki, Guppy ensures that you are in for a feast.

The Chef at MoMo Cafe has some great things ready for the Navratri celebrations. Some great options you can try here are Sakarkandi Chaat, Samak ke Rice, Aloo Jeera, Phaldari Paneer and Kaddu ki Sabzi.
