Lowdown On The Ambience

In the more or less urban Defence Colony Market, Kathputli comes as a colourful breath of fresh air, with peeps dressed up in traditional folk attire playing instruments and creating a little corner of music. The word kathputli means puppet; a glimpse at the decor explains why-  the colourful display of puppets makes you feel as though you’re about to enter a Rajasthani haveli.

What's On The Menu?

The menu offers a traditional and authentic thali, which includes delicacies like Sabut Mirchi Pakoda, Daal Panchmel, and Sookhi Gobhi Shaak, along with a side of poppadoms. The food is served in handcrafted German silver, putting a touch of elegance and sophistication in to these homely meals, and making you feel a bit like a maharaja or maharani.

So, what we’re saying is, head here for diverse and authentic tastes of Marwari, Rajasthani and Gujarati cuisines without even leaving the city.
