Someone, somewhere is looking out for us. Say what? We mean they're staying in the vicinity, but aren't making us attempt to drive into Haus Khaz Village. First came Summer House, and now a stone's throw away, there's The Backyard. Let us warn you, it's not really a backyard, unless you live in the neighborhood, but one look at it, and it doesn't really matter.
Spread over two floors, the ground floor is a regular restaurant, equipped with a bar. {No liquor license yet, so stay tuned}. The second floor is where the magic's at. Bench seating, gravel-ish flooring, a wood fired oven, give it a picnic/barbeque-esque vibe. Our guess is this is where the name finds any physical form. Almost industrial in its interiors, so far service is prompt, friendly, and food - nothing to complain about. All staff is miked, so coordination between the pizza oven, and the kitchen on the ground floor, is so far seamless.
You're thinking about the weather, we know it. Worry not, mist fans to the rescue.
Perfect for nights on the DL, when all you want is perfect ambience, great food and a few drinks. Not choosy at all.
