High Time
If you didn’t make it to Oktoberfest, you can still catch ten green bottles hanging on the wall, with the opening of the German-style beer garden at Anya Hotel, Gurgaon. It only seems right that a nice, cold beer is being chilled for you when wooden benches, fairy lights and patches of grass come together. Even though it's outdoors, you cannot catch a draught – bottles only. The food menu is paired with the list of brews, so you know to best enjoy the Bun Maskaa Shaami with a wheat or an ale. The food menu is appropriately snacky, with the obligatory Bratwurst on the list. We’re so happy to see a Schneider Weisse and Chimay on the menu, although you’d do well with the Duvel.

Instapizza
Right from one of man’s best inventions to the other – the next best thing after beer has got to be great pizza. We were curious about what the little takeaway/delivery joint in Galleria would be all about – turns out, it’s the upper crust of the pizza world. Started by an Indian raised in New York, Instapizza didn’t want anything to do with paper-thin crusts or doughy deep-pans. It took more than 500 batches of dough, and some firm decisions about 300 degree ovens, to get it not too thin, not too thick, and better than just right. We love the flat price for pizzas; although you can add your own toppings, you don’t feel like you’re at the sabzi market, with prices adding up for every extra bit that you add to the basket. Or you could just go with their classic combinations; with the most expensive 9-inch priced at INR 360, you can’t go wrong.
