Nicobar, our favourite brand for boho, understated clothes has tied up with Caara and launched their first-ever in-store cafe at their Chanakya outlet. And, NicoCaara stands pretty in all its patterned-tiles-and-wooden-furniture glory. They’ve going all tropical in terms of the decor; obviously in keeping with their sartorial design sensibility.
This cafe is all things exciting for there could not have been a more fitting match for Nicobar’s clean dressing than Caara, that’s known for its love for clean eating. The latter’s focus on local produce and seasonal fruits and veggies makes for wonderful Instagram-ready photos as it sits on Nicobar's pastel-hued crockery.
It also has an all new cocktail menu. You'll find the plenty of the good old classics; think Beefeater, Hendrick’s, Absolut, Grey Goose, Glenfiddich, Campo Viejo Rioja, and more. But what we’re most excited about is their cocktails. They’re serving all the classics, but with a twist, making them in-house specials that will keep you going back for more.
But what we’re excited to try includes, but is not limited to—first, their ‘Espresso Martini’, which is made using a coffee liqueur, vodka, and an espresso shot. Secondly, (very excited about this) their tequila-based cocktails, specifically the ‘Basil Smash’. The ingredients are simple, but it’s interesting how they’re paired in a drink—tequila (of course), triple sec, lemon juice, and their homegrown, fresh basil. And lastly, a classic and all-time favourite, GinTo with a twist. Their ‘Winter Gin’ that has seasonal spices such as cloves, star anise, and cinnamon in a regular Gin and Tonic.
