The information in this post might be outdated

What Is It?

With seven venues, seven shows, 22 artists and a promise of #OneWeekManyYou, The Gig Week is your best chance to experience some of the best artists from the country and around the world, including acts like Skyharbor, Revista do Samba and Raja Kumari.

Who Is It For?

Hipsters, lovers of alternative and everyone who enjoys discovering homegrown indie music. Also those who’ve always ranted about Delhi having a sad, dormant music scene have a chance to change their mind.

What's Playing?

As 22 artists are performing in the city, we know that deciding which one to attend can be tough as resisting that salted caramel popcorn. And, like always, we're here to save the day and help you zero down on your choices.

Here's what all you can expect over the next week.

AntiSOCIAL, Dec 10

Know for its quality music, Antisocial will play host to three artists; Skyharbor, Kraken and Yatin Srivastava Project during the Gig Festival.

Post their performance at Weekender in 2014, this is the first time that Skyharbor will get the crowds grooving. This is also going to be the debut performance of  Yatin Srivastava Project's, and city favourites Kraken. Need we say more?

The Junction, Dec 11

The Gig Week is sure to make your Sunday plans better with performances by Sharvi, Mali, singer-songwriter Josh Menon and Gabriel Daniel. Think twinkly lights, a nip in the air, and a dreamy lineup; does it get better than this?

That's not all; expect some incredible food from Artisan Meats and Instapizza. If you're in the mood for some shopping, check out Glu Affair, Matchbox Maison {bags} and The Good Things Projekt {organic products} who will also make their way to this event.

The Piano Man Jazz Club, Dec 13

The country’s very first jazz bar, this one provides an ideal setting for the festival. And with performances by Revista do Samba {Brazil},  Aditya Balani and Luiza e Pedro, this one promises to be an evening of good times, great eats and well-fashioned cocktails.

Bandstand, Dec 14

Much like the name suggests, Bandstand’s priority is to put good music on a pedestal. And with performances from bands including Spud In The Box {Mumbai}, The Family Cheese {Mumbai} and When Chai Met Toast {Kochi}, they have a musical affair planned for you.

Lodi - the Garden Restaurant, Dec 15

Musicians from Delhi and Mumbai will come together at the spectacular Lodi for an evening of indie music; just in time for the winters, we say. With performances from The Ska Vengers, Mosko {both from Delhi}, and The Fanculos {Mumbai}, this one is sure to make for a memorable evening.

Summer House Cafe, Dec 16

The Gig Week takes an international turn with artists all the way from USA {Raja Kumari and Diplomats of Sound} along with Prabh Deep from Delhi. If that's not reason enough, Raja Kumari is a Grammy-nominated hip-hop artis. Friday evening; done right.

The Ashok Amphitheater, Dec 17

The best week of 2016 concludes on a high note with Advaita, aswekeepsearching and The Hansraj Projekt. A beautiful evening with fantastic music and the festival’s first ever outdoor production. This one’s taking all of us back to the good old days.
