Osca Donna for Hand-Crafted Designer Shoes

Osca Donna, started by Karan Vats and Jasmine Kaur, is a shoe brand featuring women’s brogues, oxfords, ballet flats and loafers, in a variety of colours, all hand crafted.

The brand started off as a do kamra type of unit in Mandi Village, with two karigars, in May 2014, and now has a whole collection of shoes to boast of. The duo mostly uses the best quality leather, interspersed with fabric and faux leather.

Osca Donna rejects the whole cookie cutter culture and makes sure each pair of shoes is hand-crafted; starting from the initial pattern to cutting, stitching, lasting, sole making and sole pasting – everything’s done by hand. They currently have about six-10 karigars working super hard to turn materials into shoes that are dreamy and comfy.

They offer the option to customise, limited to colour and material choices, but this completely depends on the availability of materials.

When asked about their favourite pair, Karan and Jasmine unanimously pointed to the Meira Dark Brown Brogues {see here} and the Leah Orange and Grey Oxfords {see here}.

While Osca Donna currently only caters to women’s feet, they’re planning to launch a line for men in Spring/Summer 2016, under a different label.
