International Ethnic Folklore FestivalAs a vibrant celebration of cultural diversity, IEFF 2016, will host folklore groups from French Polynesia, Germany, Greece, Colombia, Mexico, Iran, Singapore and five Indian groups. The festival will witness a medley of dance performances, traditional music and workshops and contests - so brace yourself for a day out enjoying these magnificent acts in full traditional finery.

Even though it’s a multi-venue event, it’ll open at Nehru Park with a host of fun stuff; comedy, live painting, yarn bombing, drum circle, Raghu Dixit Project, circus acts and a tribute to Nusrat by talented artists from all over the country over two days {Oct 15 and 16} included. This residential festival is aimed at giving participants a whiff of community living by letting people stay together, cook meals, attend workshops, dance, play music past midnight, practice pottery, mediate or do nothing at all. From personal experience, it’s literally one helluva Zen party.

Let’s just say this is Noida’s Surajkund mela, only without an overarching theme, with about 300 handicraft stalls with artisans from all over the country. In fact, there’ll even be wares from Thailand along with musical performances ranging from rock to Bollywood for 10 days straight. Noida evenings just got more happening, no?
