Ten-Second Takeaway

An upgrade in terms of ambience, with the same popular flavours, Pirate of the Grills’ newest Noida outlet offers more than just the regular barbeque experience.

Winning For

The melt-in-the-mouth starters and quick service; the overall ambience is pretty cool too.

This ain’t no Black Pearl, but it surely is more pirate-y in its design; chic styling and comfortable seats are a big part of the huge restaurant space. Pirate maps and interesting signs are just add-ons that give the area a more authentic vibe. Metal and wood have been judiciously used, and plants add a bit of greenery to the area too.

The music is kept at a considerably low volume, so that it does not interfere while you’re having a conversation, and the lighting plays a major role in balancing the overall feel. Not extremely impressive, the place does hold its own when compared to its other outlets.

Eat Up, Me Hearties!

We changed it from ‘drink up’ because the outlet does not serve alcohol. Downer, right? But that doesn’t stop the restaurant from delivering big in the food section. The starters keep on coming, and things such as the Brazilian churrasco grill, live Tepanyaki ice cream and the Jalebi Caviar are worth a try.

For vegetarians, the Olio Cheese Kurkuri and the Peanut Butter Paneer Tikka are our favourites and would probably become yours too. Starters such as Butter Chicken Vol Au Vent, Pulled Rogan Josh Crystal Dumplings, Mutton Seekh and Roasted Garlic Prawns, win big in the non-vegetarian menu. Plan your pick well though, because the starters can be very filling and you might not make it to the main course.

Dishes on the main menu aren’t as unique, but are very well cooked and deliver on taste. You can indulge in some awesome offerings from the sweet section. The chef recommends the Jalebi and the Live Tepanyaki ice cream {and we do too}.

Jal-Jeera and Pomegranate Mojito are really nice, but may be too sweet for many. Overall, the restaurant provides an excellent barbeque experience and doesn’t really cost too much {almost half the price in comparison to its competitors}.

So, We’re Thinking…

For a family outing, this place is ideal, and isn’t too expensive either. Lunch is the best time to visit, but you might have to wait for a bit {despite all the space, the restaurant is mostly packed}. We hope the restaurant does start serving alcohol though, it would just be an add-on to the list of awesome.
