I've had authentic Bengali food and believe me, the food here is authentic.
This was probably the best dinner I've had in a while. We went there because my wife was missing her home and winded up over here. The menu was beautiful so we decided to try a few of their dishes and we were in the mood for fish.
Bhetki cutlet is a nice cutlet made from Bhetki a Bengali sea food favourite. It was a pleasant start to the evening followed by some magical dishes.
The pulao was delicious and aromatic and the quantity and quality of the prawns served leaves you with something magical. I'm not sure I will be able to completely give this dish the due credit it deserves. If you love, wait forget it, if you go there just eat it. Whether you like prawns or not, whether you wanna eat rice or not. Just try it.
As you can tell, we really liked their prawns so we decided to have some more. Ordered the Prawns Malai Curry which was not too heavy with once again beautifully cooked prawns.
I had to have some chicken so ordered Chicken Kosha, something I was familiar with but didn't exactly remember. But after last night, it's a dish I will never forget.
The service is quick and courteous and the ambience is well-lit and colourful.
I'm a fan and you will be too. Just go for it.
