Remember Chanakya Cinema? It's Back In A New Avatar After 10 Years As PVR ECX

The information in this post might be outdated

If you’re above the age of 25, chances are you remember Chanakya Cinema as one of the iconic places you went to watch iconic movies of the 90s. After shutting down for over a decade, the space is back with a cinema and a luxury mall.

PVR ECX has opened its doors today. The cinema is going to have three screens; each hall can seat around 140 people and the sound and video quality from the little we saw of it is pretty exceptional {surround sound is on point, guys}. When it comes to seating, you can choose from Rocker, Mini Europa and Recliners. They also promise an all-new gourmet and healthy menu. And a separate counter for crispy fries and dim sums. And of course, plenty of butter, salted caramel and chocolate popcorn to go around.

We can’t wait for The Chanakya {the mall} to start functioning full swing so we can make those shopping and movie date plans! Till then, we’re happy gorging on steamed momos in Yashwant Place just outside.

Price: Tickets start at INR 300 {approx.}
