Stop what you're doing and hit play.

You probably did that awkward Delhi-guy-in-a-bar head bob, tapped your feet, turned up the volume, and sang along when Sunny hit the airwaves. If you did, welcome to the club. It’s reminiscent of The XX and Kygo remixes in parts, and flirts with styles you’d find Bondax or Monitor 66 dabble with.

Bringing a bit of electro pop, nu-disco and deep lounge mixes to listeners all over the world is Redroom Session. The brain child and initiative of drummer Farid Singh, Redroom was a gradual transition for the musician, who’s played as a part of Delhi based bands such as Lazy River and Trijunction, and stepped in for Half Step Down as well. The moniker draws its name from a red-painted room in his house, where him and his school and college bandmates would jam. Over time, Farid converted this red room into a studio, when he decided to foray into alternative territories. In just about three months, the power mixer has featured artists from Austria, Doktor Daniel and North and South from Delhi, and tells us there are collaborations with artists from France and Canada in the works.

Farid has big plans for what he wants to do with Redroom, including an event that brings together DJs from all over the world under one roof. Until then, turn up the volume, and press play again.
