The Sangya Project is a new “pleasure store and online initiative to reconstruct common perceptions of sex and sexuality so every voice can finally have a platform”. Now if that isn’t inclusive, normal and forward thinking, I’m not sure what is.
Without being over the top in the name, the product packaging, the website, the information and the social media posts by Sangya Project are all about de-stigmatising sex and all things associated. Founded by two members of the LGBTQ+ community, Aashish Mehrotra and Tanisha Rao, the brand offers plenty of sex forward products right now. They’ve always had a few innovative vibrators and plugs, but they now also stock chrome-plated metal butt plugs, leather handcuffs and collars, and kinkwear. Think garter sets with sheer bras, and G-strings, leather boxers and briefs with O-rings to amp up the heat.
All the products are tried and tested by the founders so you can be sure of their functionality, and rest assured that it is fun too. We’re told that Tanisha and Aashish also chat with customers to help them understand the products and usage, so it’s all about you.
But since they’re not manufacturing on a large scale, they do run out of stock fairly quickly. So, keep a tab on the website so you can order when it’s available. The FAQs are a great place to understand the brand values as they’ve non-judgemental, break down points and will really make you feel at ease.
