It is officially music festival season, but for the generally underrepresented, rock music lovers, there’s something special on the cards that comes wrapped in the packaging of a noble cause. India’s iconic Mahindra Independence Rock Festival is joining hands with Seagram’s 100 Pipers Glassware to give the audience a taste of electrifying blues, with an impressive line-up of bands such as Parikrama, Zero, and Indus Creed headlining the festival. The stage will be set on fire, and metalheads are in for the experience of a lifetime!
Staying true to the Seagram’s 100 Pipers philosophy, ‘Being Remembered For Good’, the music festival is dedicated to raising awareness about the responsibility we all have towards the environment. As a token by Parikrama, all attendees will be getting a guitar pick in an envelope made of seed paper as a takeaway and go green by planting trees in their neighborhood. The festival has tied up with Skrap, an environment sustainability firm, to help make the festival sustainable through their zero-waste services, an initiative by our mutual favourite rock band, Zero. While you sip your drinks and jam with Indus Creed, ‘Save The Ocean’ initiative by them will work towards minimizing marine pollution by serving you in sustainable rice husk glasses and steel straws. We love it because it is one of the few things that actually puts their money where their mouth is.
