Although we can't have their levels of cleanliness {yet, anyway}, we got some of their cinema here in the city. On the occasion of Singapore's 50th birthday, and the 50th anniversary of diplomatic relations between India and Singapore, the High Commission of Republic of Singapore in partnership with the Directorate of Film Festivals, India is organizing a Singapore Film Festival. The theme for the festival is Stories from the Heartland, aiming at presenting a different side of Singapore.
What can you expect?
Seven films, both feature and short, by Singapore filmmakers, all based on Singapore will be screened, followed by workshops and post-screening dialogues with the filmmakers. The festival will also be accompanied by a photography exhibition, Singaporean snacks, souvenirs and photo booths.
How do you get in on this?
Entry is free for all, and will work on a first come first serve basis.
