We're huge fans of bakers flying solo! Here's another one, straight from our Little Black Books, and just in time for the massive festive season ahead. There is a Santa.
Allow us to introduce you to the face behind the flour, Sana Nair. So far operating out of her house, she's using techniques she learnt at Cordon Bleu, and from her stints at Yauatcha and the Leela. Her aim is simple - using the best quality, freshest ingredients to deliver honest and straightforward desserts. So far the menu is restricted to assorted brownies, truffles, targets, choux bites, cupcakes and cakes. As for flavours and combinations, she uses some of her favourite, including Apple Cake with honey cinnamon frosting, Salted Caramel Brownies and Dark Chocolate Fig Truffles. Like any great home baker, she loves experimenting with new flavours, and her kitchen is always open to accommodate the tastes and preferences of her customer.
