Swine Flu | Get out your surgical masks and take all the necessary precautions. The Capital on Sunday reported 84 fresh cases of swine flu, taking the total number of cases this year to 2,241. According to the Health Department of the Delhi Government, on Sunday, 530 tests were carried out, of which 84 were positive. On Friday, three people, including a 23-year-old pregnant woman, died of swine flu , taking the number of deaths to nine. At the risk of sounding like your mom, we have to say please be careful and take all necessary precautions!

Pending Projects | The honeymooon period is over for Arvind Kejriwal. Even as Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal and his Cabinet colleagues spent a major part of the first week in office holding review meetings; officials said several pending projects need immediate attention of the government. One such project includes yet another step aimed at upholding probity in higher judiciary: the Delhi High Court Bar Association {HCBA} has formed a grievance committee to deal with the complaints of corruption and misconduct. A complaint box has also been kept in the HCBA office to enable the lawyers to drop of their complaints.

Electropreneur Park | The entrepreneurial spirit is alive and growing at Delhi University. An 'Electropreneur park' to support start-ups in electronic design and manufacturing has been set up at Delhi University and will become functional next month. The incubator has been set up on the varsity’s South Campus by a consortium comprising Software Technology Parks of India, under the Union Ministry of Communications and Information Technology, and India Electronics and Semi Conductors Association, with an investment of Rs. 21 crore.

Ghaziabad at the United Nations | The Ghaziabad police authority announced that they will represent India at the United Nations seminar on human trafficking in Africa next month, an official said on Sunday. Senior Superintendent of Police Dharmendra Singh will attend a seminar to represent India in Djibouti, to be convened from 16th to 18th March, DSP Ranvijay Singh said. He said that the seminar will be organised at United Nations office on drugs and crime {UNODC}, the only entity of the UN focusing on criminal justice and combating human trafficking and smuggling of migrants.

Change Counters | Looks like they're attempting to cut the queues short for the Metro. Twenty Delhi Metro stations on Sunday opened counters that accept only exact change from customers. Delhi Metro Rail Corporation {DMRC} spokesperson Anuj Dayal said that these counters will help commuters avoid waiting to get their change back after buying tokens. The stations are New Delhi, Chandni Chowk, Rajiv Chowk, Anand Vihar, Shahdara, HUDA City Centre, Jahangirpuri, Uttam Nagar East, Saket, Dilshad Garden Kashmere Gate, Badarpur, AIIMS, Vaishali, Karol Bagh, Seelampur, M.G. Road, NOIDA City Centre, R.K. Ashram Marg, and Dwarka Mor.
