Switch is the newest kid on the HKV block, which flits between work mode and party mode, catering to a wide audience. With a vast menu, drinks and fast Wi-Fi, we’re saying we may have 99 problems but Switch ain’t one.

For its switching interiors, lighting and mood

Un-switchable report

True to its name, the place literally switches from a brekkie place to a workspace to a party space, at fixed timings. From the wall art to the crockery, the staff’s aprons to the lighting, everything changes. From 7am to noon, it’s all set for breakfast. From 12pm to 8pm the place becomes a co-working space {they have different packages which includes the Wi-Fi, at most reasonable prices}. After that {till 1am} it becomes a whole new space where you can grab some drinks at and chill.

Beautiful wall art on one of their walls, made with anchor threads, has been done by a bunch of students from NIFT, Delhi. Also, the framed quotes keep changing according to the setting.

What’s on the menu?

Their menu is a blend of Indian and Western. From the breakfast menu, we’d suggest going for the Akuri {Parsi style scrambled eggs} or one of the combos- The Usain or The Milkha {for the health/diet conscious}, The Arnie or The Dara {for all you power lifters out there} or The Humphrey or The Dharam {for the hungover}.

For the co-working space they’ve got home-style comfort food comprising a set of two dishes {one veg and one non-veg} allotted to each day of the week.

We love Bun Murga Bun. The burger has two different patties {Chicken Tikka and Herbed Chicken} with two different sauces dripping through.

For dessert they have three options: Oreo Ice Cream Doughnut Sundae, Brownie Skillet, and Muesli and Blueberry Pancakes.

#LBBTip

They’ve got a good range of cocktails {we personally liked the Viva La Cuba and the Jägermeister-based drinks} and we highly recommend requesting for their Switch Special concoction {not on the menu}.

Sumira is a Potterhead, still waiting patiently for her Hogwarts letter. She is often seen munching Oreos, ransacking eateries and is frequently heard asking “Will you do the fandango?”
