We recently went to Kolkata Centre for Creativity for an exhibition after which we just happened to visit the home decor store on the second floor. We had heard a lot about how amazing and stunning the products were and decided to check them out for ourselves. And yes, our minds were totally blown!
The Gallery Store is where you need to be if you’re looking for artistic decor for your home. All the products are inspired by the rich culture and heritage of India and its traditional crafts. It also stocks a wide range of items created by local artisans and craftsmen. The collection includes exquisite dainty glassware, ceramics, vases, pottery, cushions, brass items, decorative pieces, dinnerware, candles and fragrances, paper napkins, bar accessories, table mats and linens, bathroom accessories, furniture, storage essentials, planters, stationery, and more.
The vibrant abstract print trays will definitely amp up any dull kitchen corner while the beautiful planters are ideal for your balcony or room adding a touch of green and nature to the spaces. The Amalfi and Black Bamboo Fibre dinnerware collections, Kansa thali set, ceramic trivets, scented candles, and the ecomix vases are a few other favourites. The store also keeps Patachitra, Pichwai, Gond, Madhubani, Mughal art, and Phad paintings created by local artisans using traditional crafts and methods that celebrate the cultural heritage of India.
Prices for dinnerware start at INR 210, decor and homeware at INR 600, and paintings at INR 1,500.
