Delhi’s vintage car lovers and owners are gearing up for the 51st edition of The Statesman Vintage & Classic Car Rally {on Feb 26}, which happens to be India’s oldest car rally. This is a parade that lets you drive back to the past and see how automobiles morphed over time – since all we see is sleek and super shiny these days.
#OldSchool: The Statesman Vintage & Classic Car Rally Is This Weekend
What Is It?
Who Is It For?
For anyone who’s enamoured by automobiles. For some, it will be retro tripping and, for some, an opportunity to see how technology changes everything around us. If you love cars and history, then this is the event for you!
Why Should I Go For It?
The Statesman Vintage & Classic Car Rally is the oldest continuously-run vintage car rally in India or the sub-continent for that matter. The first edition of the rally happened back in 1964!
The Statesman, a nearly 200-year-old newspaper, organises the event that sees vintage beauties cruise down the streets of the capital, so play it old-school and carry shades and a water bottle – after all this only happens once a year!
When: Feb 26
Where: National Stadium, India Gate
Timings: 9am onwards
