The Supreme Court Has Ruled That Gay Sex Is Legal & The Rainbow Is Shining!

The information in this post might be outdated

In a monumental decision, and one fitting of 2018, the Supreme Court of India has decriminalised gay sex. Backing down on the ridiculously outdated Section 377, which considered sexual relation between same gender adults as illegal and thus a crime, the vote by the highest court of law was unanimous. In its judgement, the court ruled that "discrimination on the basis of sexual orientation is a violation of Freedom of Expression", according to a report by India Today. "Sexual orientation of an individual is natural and discrimination on the basis of sexual orientation is a violation of Freedom of Expression", was what the SC stated.

And the best part is that the government will HAVE to stay out of these too, as the bench observed that this is a matter of offending law, and this the Constitution and law trumped a parliament vote.

The rainbow is ready to shine! Bye bye Section 377, hello 2018!
