This upcoming band from Delhi has come up with a very unique way of showing their support. The delhi based band, called The Iyer Project, just dropped a wicked music video of their latest single titled “Team India Anthem” which is their tribute to the Indian team.

The video has been directed and produced by the Mathur brothers - Pratik and Siddhant. The band members don the Indian cricket jersey with dhotis or veshtis along with cricketing gear sponsored by Decathlon India. The video has been shared by Sports tak and the band is in talks with more partners to share their video. To bring in the Indian spirit, the song has both mridangam and dhol elements along with traditional Indian Carnatic Vocals and Guitar slurs.
The band comprises the brothers Ashvin and Ananth Venkatesh on the guitars and Chandramouli on the vocals. These three have been the founding members of The Iyer Project which plays alternative Carnatic rock. On the drums we have Sameeron Chatterjee and the bass is handled by Himangshu Yadav. For the Team India Anthem Vignesh Jayaraman has played the mridangam and the dhol has been played by Gurpinder Singh.
Based out of Delhi, the band was formed in 2014 and their music is all about blending traditional Indian Carnatic elements with hard rock. Their debut album titled “The Epiphany of Being Sane” has been well received. It is available across all major online streaming platforms.
