What Makes It Awesome

A voluntary organisation based in Ahmedabad, SRISTI is accepting books for donation to build a mobile library in Kashmir. Mumbai resident, Shail Desai has been collecting books on behalf of the organisation, who plan on building this library starting September.

You can donate anything from books for children, illustrated books, light reads, books about world affairs - anything. Any book you can spare will end up in the hands of someone in Kashmir who may need it.

What Could Be Better?

Absolutely nothing. It's a brilliant idea to bring a moving world of books to such a conflict-stricken area.

What's My Pro Tip?

If you're free between August 3-5, you can drop by the Micro Fiction Fan Fest at antiSocial where there's a drop off counter for these books.

Anything Else?

You can contact Shail on shail84@gmail.com to donate books if you can't make it to AntiSocial. He's collecting books till August 15, post which he will send them over to SRISTI.

You can check the organisation's work at { www.sristi.org/cms/ } or you can also follow them on their Facebook page here - { www.facebook.com/sristiahmedabad }.
