Ten Second Takeaway
Twisted Tacos, Delhi's latest Mexican joint, has opened in GK2, serving up a combination of authentic Mexican and fusion tacos.
Mexican mayhem
We're big fans of Mexican food. There is nothing better than biting into a soft burrito, through the well-cooked meat and warm beans and rice, to the spicy salsa and tangy sour cream. So when we heard Twisted Tacos was soon to open their doors to the populace, we just had to rush over a give it a try.
The good folks at Twisted deemed us worthy enough to be given a sneak peek into their space and a taste of their menu. With stomachs churning and eyes beaming, we settled down for our latest culinary adventure.
Time to taste
We eagerly warmed up with their cheesy nachos and salsa. Salsas include mild, spicy and pineapple {which was delicious}, so naturally we tried all three. Next came some tacos, with a mild Chicken Breast Taco {great for those who don't like much spice} and the Chicken Tikka Taco.
The Chicken Tikka Taco was pleasantly surprising and didn't fall into the trap most fusion Indian dishes fall into- that of over spicing the meat. It was Indian flavour infused, not overpowered by the tikka spices. We then had a go at the Mex Keema Burrito {minced lamb, with soft, creamy refried beans}. On our last legs, we gobbled down the BBQ Chicken Wings and then, finally, finished off with their Ferrero Rocher Shake {talk about decadence!}.
Seeing stars
We were floored by the flavours presented to us at Twisted Tacos, and will definitely be going back {this time in an informal capacity}. Their menu offers Sriracha Tacos {the Asian twist}, authentic Mexican Tacos {the pulled lamb} and the Indian twist {chicken tikka} Tacos. These options are available in their large 12-inch burritos, quesadillas and fajitas as well.
