What Makes It Awesome

Udd Studio was born out of Yuti and Atul’s effort to break out of the monotony of everyday life and create a fearless line of sarees, dupattas, separates, and lehengas.

Sketching was what Yuti would do to escape the craziness of the Bombay trains and the viciousness of her office life. On one such occasion, her husband suggested that she bring her designs to life. So, Yuti took to the canvas. Soon at her art shows, her patrons started telling her to try out her designs on textiles. Eager to see how that would work, she and Atul committed themselves to learn everything there was about dyes, textiles, and workmanship. When they felt ready, they launched Udd Studio to cater to everyone who craves a sense of freedom and appreciates tribal prints and Indian motifs.

Linen, cotton, or silk; whatever your weakness, there’s plenty to pick from at Udd. We have our eyes set on the Anandvan saree (INR 12,500), where the print stands out as a clear winner. The Pugur Tourmaline saree (INR 13,000) is a stunner, too, with its juxtaposed checks, stripes, and eccentric prints.

Yuti has a soft corner for folklore, prints, and rural landscapes. And colours; lots of it, actually. All this is what translates into the celebratory feel of her clothing line. If you’re into fusion, you’ll find the crop tops, kurtas, dresses, jackets, and kaftans intriguing and versatile. There’s so much you can do by pairing them with palazzo pants or shiny trousers.

Udd Studio offers free shipping throughout India.
